Rush hour in Denmark’s capital seems anything but rushed. The chic Danes effortlessly glide through the streets in suits and heels with handbags and briefcases slung to their side.

Cycling in Copenhagen is not only a dominant means of transportation, it’s a prevailing feature of the cityscape – fit, beautiful bikers at every turn. The extensive and well-designed system of cycle paths has earned Copenhagen the reputation as one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the world.

Certainly it helps that the city offers a variety of favorable cycling conditions, including a dense urban area and a flat terrain. Just take care when walking and stepping off the sidewalks! Some days I felt as if I were playing the real life version of Frogger.
