During my visit to High Point Market last month I met many wonderful people and took in many fabulous showrooms; one of my very favorites being Drexel Heritage. The quality, variety and visual appeal of this company is certainly enhanced by the talent of their creative director Denise Alala. Denise, one half of the creative team (Carl Bundy being the other) behind this luxurious furniture brand, was our tour guide for the day.

What I particularly love about Drexel Heritage’s sumptuous collections is that they encompass a full range of styles (from traditional to on-trend decor). I also adore that every single corner of the showroom boasts stunningly beautiful vignettes—complete with fabulous books and fresh flowers. The overall mood and aesthetic is one of a ‘collected’ line, rather than a feeling of furniture displayed en masse. I also think the countless finish options, attention to detail and great upholstery selections play a large role in the varied ambiance.

The tour was made even better by spending time with Stacey Bewkes of Quintessence, FINALLY talking with Franki Durbin of Life in a Venti Cup in real life instead of online, and meeting the lovely Meg Biram.

A HUGE Thank you to Lisa Hanly of Furniture Brands for inviting me and to Denise for the informative tour. You all are the best.

Great post Ronda! You may have noticed lots of Currey lamps scattered throughout the Drexel showroom.
