Wednesday I shared a few of Suzanne Tucker’s new fabrics. Here are her thoughts on the best way to spend $500:
Favorite Meal Under $50
Sushi at Sushi Ran, Sausalito – the best!! And it’s very easy to hit the $50 mark…especially with their great Sake and wine list.
Pen or Pencil
The Perfect Pencil by Graf von Faber Castell – available at Gump’s $250
Liquid Flair by Papermate, medium tip for writing notes $1.60 each and the extra fine tip Sharpie permanent marker for drawing on trace (and signing books – it doesn’t smear!) $0.67
The Printery, Oyster Point, NY – any of the boxed note cards with sea motifs, so summery!
$45 for box of 10
Go to Drugstore Product(s)
Travel size products – any and all – toothpastes, lotions, shaving creams, Nivea, etc.
Dark Chocolate 70% or higher, Woodhouse Mostly Dark Chocolates, 24 pc. $48
One for the Bookshelf
Healthy beverage of choice
My “Mocktail”—Pellegrino with a splash of unsweetened cranberry juice and fresh lime juice on the rocks.
An indulgence I will never forego is dark chocolate and travel. Travel is a necessary indulgence, both for creativity and inspiration…. I find it renewing and invigorating, never exhausting.
The great gift that I have ever received? My daughter would have to be number one on that list and then it drops dramatically from there. Although I do quite love the purple leather tassel Hermes key ring I was given for my birthday by an architect/colleague and dear friend.
That last thing that I purchased and loved was my antique textiles from Istanbul that I recently purchased while on the most fabulous trip. They are giving me endless inspiration for my projects, my textile line, for sharing with colleagues and for sheer pleasure.
Right now I have my eye on locating a great 18th century leather embossed screen for a project and for the scale!
My last meal would be about 50 years from now!!
If I had to move tomorrow I would head for Europe for a few months to shop and eat and relax and absorb la dolce vita and then to Santa Barbara to set up home.
