Last Christmas I had the great pleasure of meeting fellow Southerner Jane Scott Hodges at the home of Charlotte Moss. I have always been of the opinion that everything looks better with a beautiful monogram and Jane Scott (Founder of Leontine Linens) is one woman who understands and supports my position.
I love this super easy, hearty, delicious soup. It’s perfect for a cold Sunday afternoon. Serve with a loaf of rustic bread and a peppery California Zinfandel. The trick to pairing wine with the flavor of pesto is find a wine that has a powerful flavor and bright acidity. A good California Zinfandel is perfection in a bottle.
Not only does time fly when you are having fun, but it slips away when you are up against a book deadline. I was shocked when I realized just how long it has been since my last blog post (my sincere apologies). Not only have I been remiss in the blogging arena, but also I missed my five year blog anniversary last week. FIVE years!
