Dreaming of a winter getaway? Mr & Mrs Smith can make that dream come true. And, for one lucky All the Best reader, Mr & Mrs Smith is giving away a $100 gift card that can be used towards booking any hotel in the Smith Collection. Plus they are also giving away a Mr & Mrs Smith Travel Guidebook of your choice.
So what do you do for a chance to win? Simply visit the Mr & Mrs Smith website and leave a comment on All the Best Blog (below) telling us which hotel from their collection you love and why.
Amantaka Hotel - Luang Prabang, Laos
Every boutique hotel in the Smith collection has to be…
• Unique, insider and destination-specific. A Smith hotel can’t feel like an anonymous, could-be-anywhere shell, and needs to have a special atmosphere that suggests intimacy, regardless of the hotel’s scale.
Hacienda Uayamon Hotel – Yucatán, Mexico
• Stylish and idiosyncratic. The hotel decor should be inspiring, design-led and gimmick-free. It should be fashionable, but not ‘funky/outlandish’; sleek but not sparse; trend-aware but not trying too hard; glamorous but not garish.
Borgo Santo Pietro Hotel – Tuscany, Italy
• Unfussy, informal and welcoming. Even the five-star hotels in their collection must feel relaxed, rather than stuffy or intimidating.
Fasano Rio Hotel – Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
• Friendly, personal and discreet. Service shouldn’t be about the kind of bowing and scraping that makes you feel uncomfortable. There should be lots of attention to detail, which will make the experience out of the ordinary.
Soho Beach House - Miami Beach, Florida
• Value for money. You will always get the best room rates available. AND, if a hotel charges a high price for a room, Mr & Mrs Smith will make sure it’s really worth it.
The Necessary Verbiage: Contest closes on December 24, 2011 (11:59 pm PST). One reader will be selected at random by a third-party and announced on All the Best Blog on December 28, 2011. Good Luck!

Caught myself spending a lot of time on their website….. I have been wanting a beach vacation for a while, and I have always wanted to stay at an Aman property. So I would choose Amanyara.
Cheers,
Claudia
It’s a great site. I spend a lot of time there too…dreaming and scheming
Tavo Tagoo, in Greece. Love the pool photo, love the people, the food, the weather, the culture, the history, and that is just for starters!
This is exquisite. Something to dream about. Lynn
Dear Mr and Mrs Smith,
Your property on the Greek Isle of Santorini, Caldera Caves is a dream come true! “White Hot” is my description as it encompasses the decor, architecture and, I assume, the weather. Your properties are extensive and your site is worth more than one visit. Thank you!
Wow! What a great giveaway! My bags are packed for Residenze Napoleone III in Rome, Italy.
Looks like Lucknam Park is my favorite. I’d love to be a guest in what appears to be someones home. Hope to visit it soon.
Very taken by the Mr & Mrs Smith website – I had one of their books from when they first started and it was brilliant for finding romantic breaks away – would have made Bridget Jones and her “mini-break” obsession pround. I had never, however, looked for them online (the arrival of children put the concept of a mini-break on hold for a few years). Love the website and am inspired by their choices. I’d like to stay at Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh – looks fab! Maybe make a trip there for some Christmas magic at the fair! Thanks for introducing me to this very nice website.
Mairi
Mairi you are so welcome. I could spend hours on their site daydreaming!!
love mr. and mrs. smith and rely on their expertise. soho beach house is one of my faves aside from the mondrian group of hotels. thoughtful service and great perks!
Petit Hermitage was heavenly when I stayed last May through Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Roof top pool and service were outstanding. Great location but I found it hard to leave my lounge chair on the roof!
I’m a little overwhelmed with amazing options! Fawsley Hall in Northamptonshire, UK is one of many which caught my eye. Fireplaces, rich woods, luxury amenities, The Old Laundry Bar: wow!
I love the Hacienda Uayamon Hotel on Mexico’s Yucatán. Its like living in a luxurious dreamy accommodating version of a ruin. There’s nothing like it.
One day I will make my fantasy a reality and visit the Huvafen Fushi Hotel in the Maldives. I dream about their underwater spa!!
a vacation right now sounds amazing, and the thought of being in a warm place even better… how about the Soho Beach Hotel in Miami… would love to lay by the pool and have a drink!
Amantaka Hotel – Luang Prabang, Laos
GORGEOUS!!
Soho, would love to go! Gorgeious pool, love the stripes.
How wonderful to plan a trip thru Mr. & Mrs. Smith, they look
as though they have the best places.
Well, since I don’t foresee getting to Italy anytime soon due to having a kid starting EXPENSIVE, SAVINGS-SUCKING college, I’d have to say the Soho Beach House in Florida. Looks very relaxing. Thank you!
Um, I visited the site and fell in complete and hopeless love with Lucknam Park, but what else was I to do on the site? Saw no blog or comments section.
