• Elaine Turner’s Fall Muse: Audrey Hepburn

A few years ago I did a profile on handbag and shoe designer Elaine Turner. And, as it turned out, we briefly attended school together as young girls. Since my last profile, Elaine’s company continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Each season she looks to a destination and a muse to conjure up just the right image and inspiration for her desings.

“I can still remember being young and awestruck as I watched my mother on the beach with her oversized hats, bags and sunglasses—to me she epitomized elegance and beauty. She took pride in putting herself together and had fun with accessories and the statement of fashion. The impact has stayed with me all of the years,” says Elaine.

This season movies are her inspiration (Roman Holiday, Funny Face and Charade) and the muse is, of course, Audrey Hepburn. You can watch ‘Behind The Scenes Fall 2011 Collection – Roman Holiday’ and the other videos on Elaine’s website. The model is a brilliant young Audrey. Enjoy!

Elaine picked the perfect muse. Can’t think of a single person who does not want to emulate Audrey; an icon for all times. Elaine’s high-heeled boots, I’d think if Audrey were alive today, she’d definitely be wearing in her own chic way.
Small world that you and E.T. went to school together, although briefly!

That headline shot is hot… I don’t go much on folk looking like others but there is a look there… but we must never forget… each and everyone of us, is an original!
