Fall is my favorite time of year, especially because of the rich colors and textures that I associate with the season. However, timeless elegance is a mantra of mine, so I make sure that my antiques and Collection are appropriate long after Fall has come and gone.
This French Indian Rosewood Buffet is such a rich color and has a beautiful hand polished look. The gold rope detail gives it an extra note of glamour. The first few people who saw it assumed that the inset opaline glass was a tray set atop it, but it’s just another gorgeous feature of this French antique.
The Hollywood Regency Barrel Back Chairs are fabulous. Many people default to ivory lacquer with pieces like this, but I chose a natural finish and sophisticated neutral cheetah print upholstery and it gives these chairs a completely different air. They’re playful and grown up, all at the same time.
The Elizabeth Chandelier in Amber casts this warm glow that reminds me of fall evenings by the fire. It mixes seamlessly with rich colors in the cooler months and can hold its own with brighter colors when the weather turns warm.
The Lindsay Bench from my Collection sits in my foyer and is the perfect first impression. The brass bottom is reminiscent of mid-century modern pieces and the tufted upholstered top adds glamour without pretense.
The Regency Lamp in Amethyst is one of my favorites in the Collection. Deep purple is a hot color for fall, but I often let purple act as a neutral because it mixes so well with other colors like green, rouge and gold.
These pieces work well with various interior styles and are complimentary without overpowering their surroundings.
