Dering Hall

There is no question that Steven Gambrel is an amazingly talented designer. And, having known Peter Sallick for the past two years through involvement with the Design Leadership Summit, I knew that there was no way I could say no to any venture involving these two men. When Peter approached me about a new online marketplace for interior designers, architects, artisans, and design dealers to showcase their work and sell new, high-end home furnishings and accessories, I felt for certain this would be BIG.

After learning more, and happily agreeing to become a media partner (Huffington Post and Remodelista are also media partners), I began working on assembling my own storefront on Dering Hall.  I felt an instant connection to Dering Hall’s mission: “assembling a community of the world’s leading creators in one place and connecting them with other designers and savvy, sophisticated consumers. Customers, in turn, gain access to unique pieces previously available only to select designer clients.”

Having interviewed and profiled industry icons, artisans and entrepreneurs for the past four years on my blog, I was thrilled by the idea of offering readers an opportunity to purchase some of the best products from artisans featured on All the Best.

For the initial launch of my Dering Hall Storefront I knew that I had to feature the VERY BEST people and products. I am so excited to be working with wonderful talents and that you will now have the opportunity to purchase beautiful candelabras, lamps and sconces from Dunes and Duchess, handmade pottery from Frances Palmer, fabulous pillows and a-to-die-for-wall hanging from The Rug Company. I am honored that Vicente Wolf has agreed to release a limited number of my favorite Namibia photos from our 2009 partnership for my Dering Hall Store.

There will be other artisans soon featured on the All the Best storefront and a few VERY exciting (and exclusive) pieces available later in the year. Trust me on this one…it’s going to be super EXCITING!

You can browse Dering Hall’s storefronts, search product listings, or keep up to date on favorite designers with their innovative “Follow” function. The site also offers special Featured Sales as well as a range of compelling and inspiring design content.

In addition to having my own storefront, as a media partner I will be interviewing top designers and artisans for Dering Hall. My interview with Suzanne Rheinstein will be posted on the Dering Hall site as well as All the Best.
