Always ones to do it right, Mr & Mrs Smith are now offering some amazing self catering properties as a part of their collection. Over the past few years I have been converted to the world of self-catering, especially for long-term holidays. It’s a great way to live like a local and not a mere visitor.
It’s especially fun to seek out homes with local flavor and ones that are vastly different from your everyday surroundings. Can Shana (Ibiza) is just such a place. I could instantly imagine myself as a guest for a week. Rustic on the outside, thoroughly modern on the inside, the restored villa is light and airy. Situated in the countryside of Santa Gertrudis, the villa boasts not only alfresco dining and a swimming pool, but an outdoor pool table! I can only imagine that my husband and son would go nuts for the pool table, and then I could have the pool all to myself.

you do live as though you were part of the community, it is fun to get to know the surrounding markets etc.
and of course not dressing to have your meals is always a plus !!

Wow, that is great to hear as Mr and Mrs Smith do such a wonderful job of editing properties. I, as well, regularly rent villas when traveling anywhere outside of a major city and have even rented one while in Ibiza…while it was fabulous, THIS property is stunning. Now where's my passport?
This is my favorite way of traveling..I have rented houses in exotic places but having spent my summers in Ibiza as a child and teenager during the wild disco days…. I love the beauty of the rugged landscape, the scents and the unique beauty of the fincas….
I am ready to pack and move into this house ….

Me Too! Its only in the last 2 years that I've entered the self-catering realm. I love cooking and experimenting with local market foods and it's the perfect way to absorb the culture.
